A burglar broke into a house one night. He shone his flashlight around, looking for valuables, and when he picked up a CD
player to place in his sack, a strange, disembodied voice echoed from the dark saying, "Jesus is watching you".

He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight off and froze. When he heard nothing more after a bit, he shook his
head, promised himself a vacation after the next big score, then clicked the light back on and began searching more valuables.
Just as he pulled the stereo out so he could disconnect the wires, clear as a bell he heard, "Jesus is watching you. " Totally
rattled, he shone his light around frantically, looking for the source of the voice. Finally, in the corner of the room, his
flashlight beam came to rest on a parrot.

"Did you say that?" He hissed at the parrot.

"Yes," the parrot confessed, then squawked, "I'm just trying to warn you. " The burglar relaxed. "Warn me, huh? Who do you
think you are any way?"

"Moses," Replied the bird.

"Moses" the burglar laughed.

"What kind of stupid people would name a parrot 'Moses'?"

The bird promptly answered: "The same kind of people that would name a Rottweiler 'Jesus'!"

I have to say I am disappointed. I did not care for the blank lines much either, but I have just read about 20 post here gloating
and full of personal attacks. What is even worse, is that these were made with the assumption that the targets of these rule
violating attacks, would not be able to retaliate. Sorry, but that is hypocritical, rude, and lacking in forsight.

Anyone familiar with html or a bbs knows that it is not that hard to completely hose a board like this so that no one can use it.
Fortunately no one has done that yet, but will you people PLEASE shut up with the personal attacks so that they don't start
trying new methods?

hi- a u-lv-no-ti-s-gi [surferchicklet] - 09:24pm May 26, 2000 EST (#62 of 694)

This is cool...

One day, an expert in time management was speaking to a group of business students and, to drive home a point, used an
illustration those students will never forget. As he stood in front of the group of high-powered overachievers he said, "Okay,
time for a quiz," and pulled out a one-gallon, wide-mouth mason jar and set it on the table in front of him.

He also produced about a dozen fist-sized rocks and carefully placed them, one at a time, into the jar. When the jar was filled to
the top and no more rocks would fit inside, he asked, "Is this jar full?"

Everyone in the class yelled, "Yes."

The time management expert replied, "Really?" He reached under the table and pulled out a bucket of gravel. He dumped some
gravel in and shook the jar causing pieces of gravel to work themselves into the spaces between the big rocks. He then asked
the group once more, "Is the jar full?"

By this time the class was on to him. "Probably not," one of them answered. "Good," he replied.

He reached under the table and brought out a bucket of sand. He started dumping the sand in the jar and it went into all of the
spaces left between the rocks and the gravel. Once more he asked the question, "Is this jar full?" "No," the class shouted. Once
again he said, "Good!"

Then he took a pitcher of water and began to pour it in until the jar was filled to the brim. Then he looked at the class and
asked, "What is the point of this illustration?"

One eager beaver raised his hand and said, "The point is, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard you can
always fit more things in it!"

"No," the speaker replied, "that's not the point. The truth is what this illustration teaches us is this:

If you don't put the big rocks in first, you'll never get them in at all.

What are the "big rocks" in your life? Time with your loved ones? Your faith? Your education? Your dreams? A worthy cause?
Teaching or mentoring others?

Remember to put these big rocks in first or you'll never get them in at all.

So, tonight or in the morning, when you are reflecting on this short story, ask yourself this question, "What are the big rocks
in my life? Then, put those in your jar first!"

Or someone who tremendously bored with a lot of time. Sometimes is not what you feel, but how much time you have on your
hands. Like some of the Lizzard sites. She probably thinks that she compels people to such rage that they are drooling and

LOL...ya know that *glamourous* business in Hollywood? Most production calls are for 6 am. That means you've parked, walked,
clocked in and gotten everything in order for the camera to roll. I been getting up at 4 am for years. (When I started, my

either.)

bb... Sorry I missed you this morning.

Chicklita and I have spent the day with the roomie, sans her her son. Grilled out for dinner, and listened to a couple of 9 yr old
girls (Chicklita and the neighbor girl) play *Truth or Dare*... *S* The neighbor girl is as witty and Chicklita so it was cute.

We're thinking of going to a craft fair tomorrow, then the beach...

Hopefully the rain will stay away til later in the afternoon...

I used to get up every morning at 5 to go feed horses. I still wake up then, I just go back to sleep generally tho.*S*

Good luck with the two jobs .. Hopefully your friend will have some reliable staff soon.

Oh... If you have any edema issues from what I understand cutting down on salt and sodas helps and if you take a diuretic
(burdock root tea is a good cleansing thing) take some potassium too. Not a lot tho.

Duh..... Do I take the high pollen count as a sign that Actifed may be required? (she asked hopefully)

I'm through with the two jobs for now anyway...like you, if the weather's good, I'm gonna try to get to some part of the beach

some tactics for upcoming fun this next month with some friends.

The sky was mostly cloudy with some sprinkles, but the coolness made the exertion of tree climbing tolerable. I was amused
when Julia Hill (butterfly) talked to us about that magic moment at a hundred feet or so above the forest floor when
contemplations of mortality seem to come out of nowhere. Since I fell, those moments have been less enjoyable, but yet, I climb.

and failed. Once all the options were gone I wound up with her for something like 17 years. I didn't like her, she was a major
bitch, hateful and snappy and SHE didn't like anyone except me. She snapped and yapped and tried to bite anyone who tried
to pet her BUT, I couldn't send her to the pound and she refused to run away.

After 17 years or so she just died.

Sounds more like a large mobile tumor then a dog. And proof that only good dogs die young. ;-)

[lara croft] - 03:47am May 29, 2000 EST (#162 of 694)

LOL yeah you got that right. She was horror on legs and she lived a long long long long long long long long long long long
long long long long long life.

If that doesn't prove that only the good die young, nothing will.

My wife just brought home a chocolate lab. I've never had a dog before, and my cats have never had a dog before. We are all
terrified. I can't fit under the bed or I'd be there with them.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL ohman, you're in a world of hurt.

So is the dog.

Cats?

ouch

Mike® [jesters1] - 04:36am May 29, 2000 EST (#165 of 694)

I love cats, I've had them my whole life. I had a cat that lived to be 21. She was a great girl. I cried a river of tears when she
died.

But dogs? I dunno about dogs.

Supposedly he is good with cats..it looks like he is even a little afraid of them. Although he is about 10 times their size.

The neighborhood Tom, who insists on making his home in my back yard, and I obligingly pay homage and feed him..just
took a swing at him and the lab came running back in and hid behind me.

Life is strange.

[lara croft] - 05:09am May 29, 2000 EST (#169 of 694)

Sorry DUH, but I have had dogs all my life. In the last 10 years or so I've had cats. Before I had cats I hated cats. Now that I
have cats and am in a position to compare them to dogs (having had dogs for 25 or so years prior to having had cats) I have to
say, I much prefer cats. Lots less slobber.

Okay, okay, I take it back, UNSCREW YOU... [Duh_] - 05:09am May 29, 2000 EST (#170 of 694)

No they don't - they are little bags of attitude with giant bugs up their butts...

Mike® [jesters1] - 05:16am May 29, 2000 EST (#173 of 694)

My female cat (Maggie) waits for me when I get out of the shower and insists on licking my lower legs dry. It's quite the
morning ritual around here.
Mike® [jesters1] - 05:18am May 29, 2000 EST (#174 of 694)

Naw...if you met my cat Hobbes you would be sold. He is quite the lovable bundle of fur. No attitude at all. He is pure neuroses.

I can't even get whahizface to lick my toes...

[lara croft] - 05:31am May 29, 2000 EST (#178 of 694)

None of my cats have attitudes, actually. Okay, they have a bit of a class thingie going.

They are all gathered at the door when I come in from work. One insists on spending the next half hour or so on my
shoulder, riding around, purring, nuzzling my neck and ear and looking at me with those "love on" eyes. One seems so over
joyed at seeing me he just can't keep his skin on straight and he doesn't care if he's first petted or last, just so long as he is on
the list at some point, and he purrs loudly through the line.

One is so gentle she wouldn't crowd in the petting line if her life depended on it and as she waits her turn she talks to me
constantly, little love chirps. Another skitters around the ouskirts of what is happening just thrilled that I'm home and that
she will eat soon, The last is wild. The last has been wild for at least ten years and like the rest, I started feeding her because
she looked hungry and lonely. Wild or not, she still still likes to hang out just outside the fringes of the "cat family" and be a
part of what is happening. She rushes in from wherever she hangs out, to greet me in her way. She like to be in my
company, only she doesn't like to be petted or touched.

Each of my kitties are special. They are all little bags of attitude, but they are loving, nuzzling, purring bags of love like I've
never known before, with dogs.

Mike® [jesters1] - 05:48am May 29, 2000 EST (#179 of 694)

Awww...that was such a sweet cat story. Cats are just like that.

This dog has a lot of work to do if he wants to be part of the family.

Learning to purr would be a good start.

All the damn tourists and the curse of the growing population bring to mind how important it is to get the word out that
things are terrible here in Oregon. Pollution so thick that cars keep their lights on even during sunny days.

It rains so much you will have moss growing on your back before long. Jobs are scare. Wages are low. Beggars roam the
streets, as do thugs.

If in spite of all this anyone wishes to come here, be sure to bring lots of money and a shiny new car.

Just trying to be helpful as any Oregonian should. ;-)

Heres one Cooter should like:

One day this guy, who's been stranded all alone on a desert island for 10 years, is sitting out on the beach
when a beautiful woman wearing a wet suit and scuba gear suddenly emerges from the surf. She approaches
the stunned guy and asks,

"How long has it been since you've had a cigarette?" "Ten years!" he says. She unzips a waterproof pocket on
her right sleeve and pulls out a fresh pack of cigarettes. He takes one, lights it, takes a long drag and says, "Oh,
that's good!"

Then the woman asks, "How long has it been since you've had a drink?" Trembling, the man says, "Ten long
years!" The woman unzips her waterproof pocket on her left sleeve, pulls out a flask and gives it to him. The
man takes a long swig and says, "Man, that's sweet!"

The woman then starts slowly unzipping the front of her wet suit, looks at him seductively and asks, "And how
long has it been since you've played around?" The man, with tears in his eyes, replies, "Oh sweet mother of
God! Don't tell me you've got golf clubs in there!"

A woman and a baby came into the doctor's office. She was told to go into a room
and wait for the doctor. He examines the baby and asks the woman, "Is he breast
fed or on the bottle?" "Breast fed." she says. "Well, strip down to your waist." He
orders. She does. He presses both breasts, pinches them both, and then says, "No

A man walked into a doctor's office and the receptionist asked him what he had.
He replied, "I got shingles."

She said, "Fill out this form and supply your name, address, medical insurance
number. When you're done, please take a seat."

Fifteen minutes later a nurse's aide came out and asked him what he had. He
said, "I got shingles."

So she took down his height, weight, and complete medical history, then said,
"Change into this gown and wait in the examining room."

A half hour later a nurse came in and asked him what he had. He said, "I got
shingles."

So she gave him a blood test, a blood pressure test, an electrocardiogram, and
told him to wait for the doctor.

An hour later the doctor came in and asked him what he had. He said,
"Shingles."

The doctor gave him a full-cavity examination, and then said, "I just checked
you out thoroughly, and I can't find shingles anywhere."

The man replied, "They're outside in the truck. Where do you want them?"

A mother and father took their 6 year old son to a nude beach. As The boy
walked along the beach, he noticed that some of the ladies Had boobs bigger
than his mother's, and asked her why.

She told her son, "The bigger they are the dumber the person is."

The boy pleased with the answer, goes to play in the ocean but Returns to tell
his mother that many of the men have larger 'units' than His dad.

His mother replied, "The bigger they are the dumber the person is."

Again satisfied with this answer, the boy returns to the ocean to play.

Shortly after, the boy returned again.

He promptly told his mother, "Daddy is talking to the dumbest girl on the beach
and the longer he talks, the dumber he gets."

A wife woke in the middle of the night to find her husband missing from bed. She got out of bed
and checked around the house. She heard sobbing from the basement.

After turning on the light and descending the stairs, she found he husband curled up in the
corner, of the basement, crying like a baby.

"Honey, what's wrong?", she asked, worried about what could hurt him so much.

"Remember, 20 years ago, I got you pregnant and your father threatened me to either marry you
or to go to jail?"

"Yes, of course," she replied.

From an actual trial in London ...

A young woman who was several months pregnant boarded a bus. When she noticed a young man
smiling at her she began feeling humiliated on account of her condition.

She changed her seat and he seemed more amused. She moved again and then on her fourth move
he burst out laughing.

She had him arrested for harassment and when the case came before the court this was the man's
reply when asked why he acted in such a manner, "When the lady boarded the bus I couldn't help
noticing she was pregnant. She sat under an advertisement, which read "Coming Soon The Gold
Dust Twins"; then she moved under one that "Sloan's Liniments remove Swelling".

I was even more amused when she sat under a shaving advertisement, which read "William Stick
Did The Trick".

Then I could not control myself any longer when on the fourth move she sat under an
advertisement, which read "Dunlop Rubber would have prevented this accident".

He won the case.

Q: How many women with PMS does it take to screw in a light bulb?

A: One. ONE!! And do you know WHY it only takes ONE? Because no one else in this house knows
HOW to change a light bulb. They don't even know the bulb is BURNED OUT. They would sit in this
house in the dark for THREE DAYS before they figured it OUT. And once they figured it out they
wouldn't be able to find the light bulbs despite the fact that they've been in the SAME CUPBOARD
for the past SEVENTEEN YEARS. But if they did, by some miracle, actually find the light bulbs, TWO
DAYS LATER the chair that they dragged from two rooms over to stand on to change the STUPID
light bulb would STILL BE IN THE SAME SPOT!! AND UNDERNEATH IT WOULD BE THE CRUMPLED
WRAPPER THE STUPID @*!#$% LIGHT BULBS CAME IN! WHY?! BECAUSE NO ONE IN THIS HOUSE EVER
CARRIES OUT THE GARBAGE!! IT'S A WONDER WE HAVEN'T ALL SUFFOCATED FROM THE PILES OF
GARBAGE THAT ARE 12 FEET DEEP THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE. THE HOUSE!! IT WOULD TAKE AN
ARMY TO CLEAN THIS...

I'm sorry...what did you ask me?

Cinderella

Cinderella wants to go to the ball, but her wicked stepmother won't let her. As Cinderella sits
crying in the garden, her fairy godmother appears, and promises to provide Cinderella with
everything she needs to go to the ball, but only on two conditions.

"First, you must wear a diaphragm."

Cinderella agrees.

"What's the second condition?"

"You must be home by 2 a.m. Any later, and your diaphragm will turn into a pumpkin."

Cinderella agrees to be home by 2 a.m. The appointed hour comes and goes, and Cinderella doesn't
show up. Finally, at 5 a.m., Cinderella shows up, looking love struck and **very** satisfied.

"Where have you been?" demands the fairy godmother. "Your diaphragm was supposed to turn
into a pumpkin three hours ago!!!"

"I met a prince, Fairy Godmother. He took care of everything."

"I know of no prince with that kind of power! Tell me his name!"

[lara croft] - 12:30am Jun 18, 2000 EST (#359 of 694)

Yep, it is. He wants to be like me n' Sher, but he can't, so he does the only thing he knows to do and
that is to try and stay as close to us as he can and he figures the way to do that is hang out on our
thread and keep it on top. It's his way of paying homage.

Yeah yeah, I know, it's sad, but what the hey, you know. I figure that all the really cool people
have groupies and weird little creatures that just want to hang out with them and Bill is ours.

NO wait, stop. You know what is the saddest thing of all?

the saddest thing of all is that Bill gets the only pleasure he knows out of life, when someone,
anyone post replies to his insane ramblings. He cares not whether his posts are there in the
morning, he is just seeking some sort of companionship while he can get it, even if the object
of his affections is insulting him.

God, that's sad.

Damn Bill, I'm soooo sorry your life has come to this. I am sooo sorry that this is your only

insults and rejection are better than what you have without them.

Isn't it sad that bill has been reduced to getting his only pleasure from his own narrow,

Look around bill, the only person who looks silly AND stupid around here is you, the old geezer

When the I-Bill chuckles and notes that his posts will be deleted and anyone who spoke to him

Lara and I hang out here because we are welcome here. Because people LIKE us. Because when
we miss a few days we get letters from a LOT of people asking us why we aren't here.

YOU hang out here because you have absolutely no place to go where you are welcome on the
face of the internet, so you come here, where you are hated but at least you get the semblance
of contact with a group of people, even though all but the truly screwed up loathe you. Because
ANY recognition, even if it's just someone telling you to FOAD, means that you have been
noticed.

And if you have been noticed, then you can convince yourself that you are real.

Poor I-Bill. Noplace, noplace at all where people smile when they see you. Only places where
people smile when you leave.

McDuffy, I was warned before I got over here that I should be prepared for some unexpected
problems. And so I covered myself with the Armour of Love from head to toe.

May I suggest that you just get that armour on now, because I can see that it ain't gonna let up for
you. I just don't understand why anyone keeps hammering with the same old questions day and
night. Lots of people refer to them, they, some, most, etc. What's the deal here.

I know I am a late comer, but so far I can't find a single reason to pound on some one person
forever. Most of these people LOL you know who you are, and I'm not sure who all of you are, but I
think need to get a life and start spreading some forgiveness and mercy and add a bit of love to it.

I really like all of you, but I have a tendency to stand up for the underdog. I don't like to see
anyone abused or harassed.

McDuffy is just a very young girl, and all young girls have to live the life of learning and how to
communicate. Communication skills are so important that they are the subject of classes in the
business world today. Now let's give this little girl a chance to mature as we are all still maturing.
Love will work wonders in your suggestions to young people, but harassment builds walls and
fences.

How about it. Me too, I need to practice some of it. You are all my friends, and I hope you won't be
mad at me for my suggestions. Love ya

"And so I covered myself with the Armour of Love from head to toe."

L0L0L0L0L… that will work, you sound like a real Nirvanian and this is strange, but we used to
have in our arsenal, Plasma Peace Riffle… it squirts Love Plasma on misguided eyeballs… infecting
them with Love L0L0L0L and can only be triggered by good emotions that emantes for the hearts
and minds… Oh Man talk aboput Déjà vu!!!!… You Lady WJ Jane, handle that Peace Riffle like a
True Nirvanian… and with the New Armor of Love… You Look Invinsible! :-)

Lady Jane, do you believe that Love Conquers All? We can chat about it later at the Chat HQ. :-)

[windjammer] - 12:26am Jun 24, 2000 EST (#465 of 694)

Regal, I do not believe that love covers ALL, but I do believe it covers a MULTITUDE. I am not
invinsible, else I would not be disturbed that McDuffy is still being come down on.

I surely do have some opinions and strong ones, however, I do not become assertive of them
UNLESS I feel justified in doing so.

Also, I am not a pacificist either. I do think that there are insignificant subjects that win or lose,
no one wins, so let it go.

Now the Lady WJ Jane, must mean that you can see that side of me. I believe that a soft answer
turneth away wrath. I am not saying I have conquered that one, but it is there to be put before
someone that needs to lean that way to get over their distress.

Regal, I don't know what you mean by Nirvanian. I know nothing about this arsenal thing you
speak of. Please explain what you really me. Remember the Peasant Girl. She is here right now.
Help her understand.

I don't like to see anyone hurt. It does bother me, and worse yet are the type that straddle the
fense and do nothing to help a poor soul when they are down. You know, Regal, that is about the
only good I am for is to be a friend to a person in need, and so I do it the only way I know how.

No, I am not invinsible, ask Paulie. Shoot an arrrow and watch me fall. I am not invinsible in any
sense. I am a very sensitive person with very little to offer anyone except my sensitivity, and so I
am also sensitive to the hurts of others. I think McDuffy has had enough.

Yeah, I can't really disagree with that Dusty. Happy is like anything else, I suppose...too much
of good thing is no longer good (or productive, or healthy).. Depends on how you define happy,
too, I guess. I am often happy struggling (like when I was in school, or sometimes now on my
job, when I have a big problem to solve)...those things make me feel happy, or stimulated? But
it's not a constant big smile kind of happy, if you know what I mean. Maybe happy is a wrong

Xanax is one of the top three prescriptions in the US. It doesn't work for everyone. I don't think

[NoblesseOblige] - 05:53am Jun 25, 2000 EST (#519 of 694)

Xanax can actually cause depression, and is for short term use, like 3-4 months.

It is, or has been, prescribed for agoraphobia.

It has several undesirable side effects as well, and is addictive.

I don't recommend taking it.

Ummmm Hello Bill? If that’s you, that kinda post will probably keep you posting J

I don’t think It’s possible to be happy all the time. The path is to find or develop a fair personal
system of living that you can live in happy contentment. It may not be perfect, but once it’s in
place, ride it with an open mind.

There many be situations that some people can derive some happiness by causing and seeing
other people hurting, but that kind of happiness can not be sustained indefinitely.

In everyone’s current life’s setting, the key must be to find whatever contentment your
present lives stores for you. From that contented happiness, always walk with open an mind
and loving heart, searching for the path that while taking that journey, generates more
happiness to others around you.

Example Again: J ~Libby~: as we all know, if there is search for the most likable person across
the board, She deserves to get that award.

So while she generates goodwill and thus certain level of happiness to people around her,
that’s gotto be the meaning of: J

It's just past 9:30 p.m. in Seattle. I suppose the sun has officially set, but it sets behind the Olymipic
Mountains, so it still shoots rays up for a long time thereafter, keeping the skies light. The
northern latitudes are horrible in the winter, and utterly wonderful in the summer. This is why
we put up with nine months of ugly every year.

When I lived in Hawaii I loved the winters, because they weren't much different from the
summers. If only I were rich and could afford Hawaii during the winter and Seattle in the
summer!

OJ, please read my apoligies on the other threads. I watch for you on the boards all of the time.

Do you really hate whites that much. I know there are white trash out there, but not all are white
trash. There is trash in every race of people.

This white trash cares a lot about blacks. As I said before they have shown my baby more love
than the whites did at that hospital, and I will never forget it.

Don't you hate me OJ. You just talk to me like you would anyone, and listen to my heart when I say
I am sorry if I have hurt you.

OJ, my little black poodle got ran over and killed Thurs. night. I'm sure you have read about it.
Maybe you think I deserve it. I hope you do not feel that way about me. Forgive me, and let's be
friends. Would you do that?

After what you told me, I could have bit my tongue off. You have a right to be bitter. Was the man
white that caused your accident. I don't think you can just hate anyone unless there is a reason.
We cannot sterotype any race by a few. I watched Roots, and I would have liked to taken some of
those masters and beat the tar out of them for the things they did. We've all got to get past that
now. Come on now, don't walk ahead of me, and don't walk behind me, but let's walk side by side.

I care about you. You can be angry with me, but that won't change how I feel about you. No
Way!!!!!!

Granny of the Boards [windjammer] - 12:04am Jul 10, 2000 EST (#566 of 694)

Surferchicklet, I know you are right. It is good to be independent to a point. I am not a very
independent person, however, I don't follow people around. I think what gets to me more is
better named rejection or maybe super sensitive.

Crutches are really bad, I know it. Most of my crutches are looking back on some bad
experiences and using them to excuse some of my bad points.

I was talking about people who are too independent, and didn't think they needed anyone for
anything. I guess there is a good happy mediu. I will say that in this day and age, one needs to
be independent in that he/she can take care of themselves, and feel good about it. I have never
been a leech. I can't stand that.

A Father's Dating Rules:

Rule One:
If you pull into my driveway and honk, you'd better be delivering a package - because you are
not picking anything up.

Rule Two:
You do not touch my daughter in front of me. You may glance at her, so long as you do not peer
at anything below the neck. If you cannot keep your eyes or hands off my daughter's body, I
will remove them.

Rule Three:
I am aware that it is considered fashionable for boys your age to wear their trousers so loose
that they appear to be falling off their hips. Please don't take this as an insult, but you and all
of your friends are complete idiots. Still, I want to be fair and open-minded about this issue, so I
propose this compromise: You may come to the door with your underwear showing and you
pants ten sizes too big, and I will not object. However, in order to ensure that your clothes do
not, in fact, come off during the course of your date with my daughter, I will take my electric
nail gun and fasten your trousers securely in place.

Rule Four:
I'm sure you've been told that in today's world, having sex without using a "barrier method" of
some kind can kill you. Let me elaborate: When it comes to sex with my daughter, I am the
barrier and I am the one who will do the killing.

Rule Five:
It is generally understood that in order for us to get to know each other, we should talk about
sports, politics, and other issues of the day. Please do not do this. The only information I require
from you is an indication of when you will have my daughter home safely back at my house,
and the only answer I need from you on this subject is "Early".

Rule Six:
I have no doubt that you are a popular fellow with many opportunities to date other girls. This
is fine with me as long as it is okay with my daughter. Otherwise, once you go out with my little
girl, you will continue to date no one but her until she is finished with you. If you make her
cry, I will make you cry.

Rule Seven:
As you stand in my front hallway waiting for my daughter at appear, even if more then an
hour goes by, do not sigh and fidget. If you want to be on time for a move you shouldn't be
dating. My daughter is putting on her make up, a process than can take longer then painting
the Golden Gate Bridge. Instead of just standing there, why don't you do something useful like
changing the oil in my car?

Rule Eight:
The following locations are not appropriate for a date with my daughter: Places where there
are beds, sofas, or anything softer then a wooden stool. Places where there is darkness. Place
where it is appropriate to wear shorts, tank tops, midriff T-shirts or anything other then
overalls, a sweater, and a goose down parka zipped up to her throat. Movies with strong
romantic or sexual themes are to be avoided; movies which features chainsaws are okay.
Hockey games are okay. Old folks' home are better.

Rule Nine:
Do not lie to me. I may appear to be potbellied, balding, middle-aged, dimwitted has-been. But on
any issues relating to my daughter, I am the all-knowing, merciless God of your universe. If I
ask your where you are going and with whom, you have one chance to tell me the truth, the
whole truth and nothing but the truth. I have a shotgun, a shovel, and five acres behind the
house. Do not trifle with me.

Rule Ten:
Be afraid. Be very afraid. The voices in my head frequently tell me to clean to guns as I wait for
you to bring my daughter home. As soon as you pull into the driveway you should exit the car
with both hands in plain sight. Speak the perimeter password, announce in a clear voice that
you have brought my daughter home safely and early, then return to your car. There is no
need for you to come inside. The camouflaged face in the window is mine.

Sherrie- Reminds me of the time my younger sister was dating a guy who was putting undue
pressure on her to do certain things which was upsetting her. He came over one evening and
was sitting in the lving room waiting for her. My mother's living room has 2 doors in it,
conveniently located on either side of the couch. One my older brothers walked in one door,
and I walked in with my other older brother through the other door. We looked him in the eye
and said "You touch her, you die. Got it?" He looked at all 3 of us staring him down before he
sunk down into the couch a little and nodded. My sister appeared a moment later and started
slapping at us to get away from him.

They broke up 2 days later.

Investigators at a major research institution have discovered the heaviest element known to
science. This startling new discovery has been tentatively named Administratium. This new
element has no protons or electrons, thus having an atomic number of 0. It does, however,
have 1 neutron, 125 assistant neutrons, 75 vice neutrons and 111 assistant vice neutrons,
giving it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by a force called morons,
which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.

Since it has no electrons, Administratium is inert. However, it can be detected as it impedes
every reaction with which it comes into contact. According to the discoverers, a minute amount
of Administratium causes one reaction to take over four days to complete when it would
normally take less than a second. Administratium has a normal half-life of approximately three
years; it does not decay but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the
assistant neutrons, vice neutrons and assistant vice neutrons exchange places.

In fact, an Administratium sample's mass will actually increase over time, since with each
reorganization some of the morons inevitably become neutrons, forming new isotopes. This
characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to speculate that Administratium is
spontaneously formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This
hypothetical quantity is referred to as the "Critical Morass." You will know it when you see it.

(This is a true story. If you have children you will probably relate to this father. The names

As ham sandwiches go, it was perfection. A thick slab of ham, a freshbun, crisp lettuce and
plenty of expensive, light brown, gourmet mustard. The corners of my jaw aching in
anticipation, I carried it to the picnic table in our backyard, picked it up with both hands but
was stopped by my wife suddenly at my side.

"Hold Johnny (our six-week-old son) while I get my sandwich," she said.

I had him balanced between my left elbow and shoulder and was reaching again for the ham
sandwich when I noticed a streak of mustard on my fingers.

I love mustard.

I had no napkin.

I licked it off.

It was not mustard.

No man ever put a baby down faster. It was the first and only time I have sprinted with my
tongue protruding. With a washcloth in each hand I did the sort of routine shoeshine boys do,
only I did it on my tongue.

Later (after she stopped crying from laughing so hard) my wife said, "Now you know why they
call that mustard 'Poupon.'"

A young man is walking on a deserted beach when he finds a glass bottle.

He opens the bottle and out pops a 30 foot tall all-powerful Genie.

Genie: Young mortal, you have freed me from my prison, but I have to warn you: I have
fulfilled my terms of imprisonment if I fulfill one and only one wish for you...So choose wisely.

Young Man: Well, I have this terrible fear of open water, and I've always wanted to go to
Hawaii. So my wish is to have bridge built so I can drive there.

Genie: A bridge to Hawaii? Why, posts miles deep would have to be driven into the ocean bed,
ocean storms would require it to be closed and covered…This would be the greatest engineering
feat in the history of civilization, and may even be beyond my power… its too too much for even
a Genie as powerful as I to attempt.

You need to choose another wish..

Young Man: Well, OK. My father was married and divorced three times, my older brother can’t
keep a girl friend. And I, for the life of me, just can’t figure out what a women really wants
from a man.

So, my wish is to be able to really understand what a women thinks, what motivates her, and
what I can do to make her happy.

Genie: You want that bridge to Hawaii to have three lanes or four?
