I wrote this first as a poem and then adapted it to a celtic folk song called "The Parting Glass, using the
rendition from Waking Ned Devine.

.................Maggie.............

(Ed.'s Note: If anybody can find the song, I'll put it on here....

There was a place in cyberspace
once known to us as TOL
Where friend and foe would meet and greet
and sometimes come to blows they tell.

Within these walls, ideas were formed
and bantered quickly back and forth
Where friendships bloomed and bonds grew strong
betwixt the most unlikely sort.

(chorus)

So, as we scatter with the winds,
to cyberlands as yet unknown.
Let's ring the bell and raise our glass
to this the place we once called home.

The passion that surrounded us
t'was burning deep within our hearts
Wars were won and wars were lost
and, hence, became a form of art.

We've celebrated everything
from love to marriage and to birth.
And hand in hand, we wiped the tears
through loves lost, illnesses and death.

(chorus)

So, as we scatter with the winds,
to cyberlands as yet unknown.
Let's ring the bell and raise our glass
to this the place we once called home.
